Gifts of Stock
Your broker can assist you in making a gift of stock via a direct transfer to Noah Homes. Giving a gift of publicly-traded stock that has increased in value and that you have owned for more than one year may provide greater tax benefits than giving cash. Your charitable income tax deduction is equal to the fair market value of the stock and you avoid paying the capital gains tax on any increase in the current value over the original cost of the stock. You may also save by not incurring brokerage fees because you are transferring ownership rather than selling the stock.

Care for Our Caregivers
Direct Support Professional Recognition Week (September 12-18, 2021) is a great opportunity to highlight our dedicated, innovative caregivers at the heart and soul of supports for people with disabilities.
We plan to celebrate #DSPRW2021 with a week full of surprises for our DSPs, honoring them for the amazing work they do and the difference they make in the lives of so many.

Thanks to the support from the community, we are able to operate without debt, despite needing to fundraise ~$7,800 per resident, per year to offset costs not covered through government funding. We are careful to ensure we are cutting costs and improving our sustainability without sacrificing our top-quality care. Noah Homes’ programs are designed to be person-centered and to consider the personal preferences and choices of each resident. By becoming a monthly donor, you are supporting us in placing emphasis on experiences that foster growth, promote self-esteem and enable each individual to develop new skills.

Despite budget cuts, competition for workers, and increasing care needs as the residents reach their senior years, Noah Homes continues to prove resilient. More than 67% of adults with disabilities are unemployed in a typical year. Like many, due to the pandemic, all of our residents were out of work for over a year, and thanks to your support we will be able to provide some of our residents with much-needed jobs at the Enchanted Village.

Hosting an intimate event with your friends, neighbors, and colleagues is a profoundly meaningful way to get involved with Noah Homes. As an event host, you can invite your network to your home, or another venue of your choice, to meet Noah Homes staff and hear our residents and families tell their stories. The Noah Homes team can assist with creating invitations and flyers, handling RSVPs, and more.
